His Voice

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Choosing the right path for our lives is not always as easy as it sounds. After all, if we all chose the right path the first time, everyone would be happy and content. Luckily, God has given us a road map to govern our journey through life. His word teaches how to act and respond to daily situations. But we have to use it. I'm just the typical man I suppose, but I rarely even look at the directions when putting something new together. Then I finish with a shaky table and 3 leftover screws that I have no idea where they go. The Bible is the same way. If we never look to it in times of trouble or indecision, our lives will be left shaky and unstable.

So let's assume we all look to the Word for directions on how to face issues in our lives. But how do we know the paths to choose to get to those situations? I'm glad you asked. Thankfully we have turn by turn navigation through God GPS. That still small voice that leads you. But we are humans and our brains are cluttered with voices trying to pull us from side to side. The loud, obnoxious lying voice of the devil comes in loud and boastful. He tries to woo, taunt, flirt, flatter and tantalize us into taking the wrong path. He rams at the door to our heart, when Jesus simply knocks. Satan will scream for your allegiance, while Jesus softly requests it. Which voice do you hear? Sometimes all it takes is for us to just slow down and listen. God is directing our paths. Just listen for ... "His Voice"
