Your Anxiety For His Peace

Philippians 4:6 - Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known to God.

Before we can truly let go of our anxiety, I think we need to understand what anxiety is. After all you can't defeat that which you don't understand. Anxiety, simply put is worrying about things that have not happened yet, the future. Anxiety is a secondary emotion that is usually triggered by fear. When we worry, we begin to play the "what if" game. Isaiah 41:10 - Do not fear for I am with you. Do not anxiously look about you. For I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

So to stop the anxiety, we must face our fears. But how do we defeat our fears? An opposite of fear is hope. Rather than wasting today worrying about tomorrow, we need to keep hope and have faith about the future. When you spend your day depressed about what happened yesterday and anxious about what might happen tomorrow, you waste the most precious gift we have, today. That's why it's called the present.

We must trust in Jesus to defeat our fear and anxiety. Jesus is our deliverer, defender and the son of God. He can calm any storm in our lives. We just need to have faith and believe. Let it go and give it all to him. 1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Psalms 34:17 - The righteous cry and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. Our God is all powerful and has already defeated the enemies we face. Why fight the battle again? It's already been won. Game over. John 16:33 - These things I have spoken to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world.

We ARE more than conquerors through Christ. You were someone worth dieing for. Jesus has already paid the price for our freedom. Let go of your fears and anxiety and trust in God and have faith. He WILL see you through. Just believe and trade... Your Anxiety For His Peace.
